Bayliss Boatworks construction update: Seven - Bayliss 62'
by John Bayliss 4 May 2020 19:18 UTC
In April, both the toe rail and cockpit deck were installed on Seven! Throughout the latter half of the month, the toe rail underwent glassing, fairing and adtech.
In the cockpit, the deck was planked after chases were run, covered by a layer of insulation. Build-out of the coaming and coverboard structure is now under way. The exterior carpentry crew will soon begin work on the mezzanine drain and toe kick layout, after which glassing of the deck and salon bulkhead can commence.
Inside Seven, our electrical crew is continuing wire runs, while mechanically, chiller line rough-in has begun. Lower and upper level cabinetry layout, buildout, and fabrication is in full swing as our interior carpentry department focuses on everything from bunks to galley cabinets.
On the flybridge, the console and benchseats have been glassed, faired, and are now coated in adtech. Sea rails were added to the benchseats and the lids have been fabricated and glassed. Buildout continues as the crew makes finalizations to the raised deck panels.
