Blue View (Bayliss 78'), has also experienced major progress on the bridge. Fairing and primer were applied to the bow and cabin exterior in early February and our paint crew is now tackling rounds of spot fairing and sanding.
The flybirdge is changing quick! Once the space was glassed in February, the bench seats and brow wall underwent their own rounds of fairing and primer. With the console installed, work begins on the raised teak deck- a unique feature to this build, sure to be a stunner!
The cockpit has been a bustle of activity as well. The cockpit deck and coverboards were glassed, allowing the exterior carpentry crew to turn their attention to building the mezzanine walls.
Our in-house design department has finalized the layouts for the master, guest, and VIP, and crew staterooms. Now, our cabinetry crew is beginning mock-ups in each space, bringing a real visual cohesiveness to the lower level. Our mechanical crew has completed the hydraulics in the engine room and they are now turning their attention to the installation of the holding tank and chiller units.
Custom stainless steel hawse pipes are being developed by our metal works department this month. Stainless steel liners are also being fabricated for the flybridge and mezzanine. Blue View will hold large refrigerated boxes in the bridge console with a drink box in the forward bridge seating compartment- along with five refrigerated boxes in the mezzanine.
