The complexity and number of details on Bayliss 75' are becoming more and more apparent with each passing day.
In August, one of this build's central features - the teak aft bulkhead - was fit and installed. Now, our paint crew begins the process of varnishing the surface, a process involving many layers and man-hours.
In the cockpit, the coverboards and coaming were installed this month, while our crew now works on framing and installing the teak deck. The cockpit mezzanine lids are being gas shocked, and the tackle centers are being developed and finalized.
On the inside, the state of lower-level stateroom cabinetry is moving away from basic fabrication and installation towards smaller details, from pocket doors to sofa bases, to headboards. On the upper level, galley and salon cabinetry is being installed, shaping the incredibly unique orientation of the center island galley, the driving force of an unforgettable interior space on this build.
Next month, this build heads to the paint bay for her top coat, another step towards a finalized exterior. We are so excited to document the extensive details on this build!
