The interior of Blue View (Bayliss 78') is taking shape! Machine tunnel buildout and framing is showing progress up forward, as our crew fabricates the shelves and storage spaces for that area.
Chases are being designed and laid out in the pump and engine room areas, while the salon and machine tunnel decks are being completed with their final finishes in other areas of our shop.
Our design team is putting heavy focus on equipment placement as we get closer to our initial systems installs. Mechanically, Blue View will feature twin MTU 2,600 hp 16V M96L engines, along two 38kw Northern Lights generators, and a Seakeeper 26. Total fuel capacity will be 2,700 gallons.
Over the next month, the lazarette area will begin to show progress, with the installation of both the gyro surround and bulkhead. The pump and engine rooms will begin buildout in June as well, bringing us one step closer to the installation of Blue View's main components over the next several months.
