Blue View (Bayliss 78') is getting to that point in the process where benchmarks seem to be flying by at a rapid pace. Faired and sanded to perfection by our paint crew, she was blanketed in final primer in late June.
Our exterior carpentry crew completed a great deal more teak work over the course of the last month. With her raised teak flybridge deck complete, the crew turned their attention to her teak half-round, transom, coverboards, and window molding. Each teak board was carefully selected, cut, sanded and installed.
Blue View's final teak component, the bulkhead, is now under development, along with the accompanying mezzanine lids and bullnose. Her toe rail, half round, transom, and helm pod are all in the process of receiving several coats of varnish. It won't be long before her custom transom artwork is applied.
Stepping into the interior of Blue View, one of the most noticeable developments is the bold teak veneer lining the salon walls. Interior cabinetry build-out is moving at a fast pace, and our interior carpentry crew is now finalizing the pantry, galley and salon layout.
Over the course of the next month, our metal works department will be developing the rudders, tiller arms, and engine room shelving. The mechanical crew is currently running the chiller lines and steering and Blue View's shafts have been sent for final machining. Our electrical department is finalizing all routes before embarking on wire runs.
