As well as all of the other key events happening this summer, 2024 also happens to be the centenary of master boatbuilder Jack Chippendale.

Jack's activities stretch right back to the very start of the post-war boom in dinghy sailing and through his association with such great movers and shakers such as Ian Proctor and Peter Milne, he would build the prototypes for some of our great names - the 5o5, Osprey and Kestrel to name just a few.

Moreover, Jack would set the bar very high in terms of final finish, his boats were always both immaculate yet individual, yet they were as fast as they were good looking and the championship victories would soon follow.

As part of the centenary celebrations, here's something to bring a smile to the faces of those who still like to see a 'pretty' boat rather than just today's two tone grey FRP models.... starting with this beauty.

The top ten have not been ranked in any order, as beauty is such an individual taste, we are going to leave it up to the readers to decide which picture they like the best!
