Raymarine, global leaders in high-performance marine electronics for the recreational boating, marine first responder and law enforcement markets, announced today its presenting sponsorship of the prestigious Quest for the Crest Sailfish Tournament Series.

Supporting this highly renowned sailfish series is a natural fit for Raymarine. The brand is laser-focused on providing professional anglers with the trusted tools that make a difference when fishing competitively. In 2023, Raymarine launched five new product lines for the sportfishing customer, including angler favorites the Axiom 2 Pro, Axiom 2 XL, and the RVM1600 fishfinder with RealVision MAX CHIRP technology.

The Quest for the Crest Sailfish Series, produced by Bluewater Movements, Inc., is heralded by many tournament anglers as the most prestigious billfish series in the world. Every year, an elite field of teams gathers for the Quest for the Crest Series with one mission: to become a world champion. That title is conveyed in the form of an iconic emblem that resides over the heart of a burgundy jacket. To don this coat of arms a team must emerge as the most dominant in three highly competitive tournaments hosted at three different locations throughout South Florida. To accomplish this goal is no small feat. Teams who are fortunate to record their names in the Quest Hall of Fame have the honor and privilege of being recognized as some of the best to ever do it.

Quest teams compete for a purse near $2 million dollars in the Series. The allure of a championship title and a $2 million dollar purse has attracted world champions from other sports, such as Michael Jordan and Dustin Johnson. The event is hosted in three premier locations over three 'Legs': Leg 1 at the Sailfish Marina Resort from January 17-21 in Singer Island (West Palm Beach), Leg 2 at Galuppi's, from February 21-25 in Pompano Beach (runs out of three inlets) and Leg 3 at the Shake-A-Leg Marina & Bayshore Club from April 10-13 in Coconut Grove. In addition to the $2 million dollar purse, the tournament has added a $100,000 Guarantee powered by Raymarine and Yamaha in the grand finale of the series at Final Sail. The jackpot will only be eligible to teams that enter all three legs of the series. Nearly $300,000 has been raised for charity through the series to date.

"With our recently introduced chartplotter and sonar product lines we have made significant investment in saltwater fishing technology and feel great pride in the products we've brought to market in 2023," said Jamie Dery, Vice President, Raymarine. "This partnership with Quest for the Crest demonstrates our commitment to the sport by not only supporting the anglers, but the tournament they compete in as well. We can't wait for the Tournament to begin and are confident the action is going to be exciting!"

"We are thrilled for the partnership with Raymarine as presenting sponsor of the Quest for the Crest Sailfish Series," said Jamie Bunn, Executive Director, Quest for the Crest. "It is a perfect marriage that connects anglers who push themselves to the limit for success at the highest level with a brand that continues to push the envelope in what's capable with offshore technology. Combine the skill set of these captains with the capabilities of Raymarine's latest technologies and I'd be really concerned if I were a sailfish."
