What a series, six weekends, six venues and a whole lot of sailors soaking up the Feva atmosphere enjoying the sailing, socials and making new friends.

The series saw Feva sailors travel all over the country from hosting venues Hayling Island to Leigh and Lowton Sailing club. There were a total of 90 Feva teams that attended in total with 4 events to count for the series results.

The Grand Prix One at Draycote showed there was a lot of talent on the water and it was going to be an interesting series. There was a very positive buzz as sailors started their first event of the series in September 2022. Saturday fun evening with food and quizzes for the sailors and their families.

The second Grand Prix was hosted by Hayling Island Sailing Club. Sailors enjoyed some intense racing, with only 4 points separating 1st and 3rd positions by the end of the 2 days. Saturday night was Party night as the sailors enjoyed a colourful disco, thanks goes to our Southern representative Dawn Ripley for sharing her birthday celebrations with the sailors.

It was back to WPNSA for our Winter Championships/Grand Prix 3 in November. With 42 boats attending it was great to see the School sailors joining us. Saturday evening the sailors went to the Dorset Burger Bar for food and a game of indoor crazy golf.

The first event for 2023 was our Spring Championships/Grand Prix 4 held in the midlands at Draycote Water Sailing Club. Sailors were excited to be back on the water with some super sailing and happy faces. This time it was Saturday Pizza night with a competition with a chance to get your hands on a new race jib thanks to RS Sailing.

We were Off to Leigh and Lowton Sailing Club for our Inlands Championship Grand Prix 5 with our North Representative Ali Wood as the race officer, who managed the event amazingly keeping the sailors entertained on the water due to a lack of wind. Saturday night there was an evening meal where sailors got to socialise at the cafe.

The final Grand Prix of the Series was our GP6 at Grafham Water Sailing Club. Blazing sunshine in June saw the sailors searching for wind on the racecourse on Saturday with two races completed. On Sunday the wind filled in to complete the last five races of the series.

Our hats off to all the sailors that competed, those at the top of the fleet we saw some exciting close racing. Also to those who have gained experience throughout the series, and those who may be quite new to Feva sailing, you all showed great dedication, commitment and your contribution to the class making it such a fun class to be a member of.

The series was filled with loads of action on and off the water, sailors experiencing multiple weather conditions putting their skills to the test. The sailors have developed their sailing and have made many friends while doing so.

The class would like to thank everyone that supported the series, your efforts are really appreciated and your help make the series what it is!
