Exhibitor vacancies to sell out months prior to Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show 2019

Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS) has experienced a surge in exhibitor bookings, with spaces expected to sell out well before the big event in May.
The Multihull Group (TMG), eyachts and Clipper Motor Yachts are among the latest companies to announce they will unveil new vessels at the May 23-26 event, complementing the presence of industry heavyweights such as Maritimo, Horizon Motor Yachts Australia, Whitehaven and Integrity Motor Yachts, Alexander Marine, Multihull Solutions, EMarine and Jeanneau power and sail.
SCIBS Sales and Exhibition Manager Dominic O'Brien said exhibitor response and bookings had exceeded expectations for this time of year but sites remained for businesses wanting to showcase their wares to an expected crowd of more than 45,000 people, including industry powerbrokers.
"Exhibitors tell us they have put a lot of effort into their mix of products and promotions and are looking forward to showcasing new models, including many world and Australian premieres, the latest gadgets and excellent sales packages for an astute and enthusiastic public," he said.
"We continue to invest in the village and marina for SCIBS each year, and develop new ideas for the layout and format to keep the visitor experience fresh. Exhibitors have responded positively and the 2019 event is shaping up to be an exciting one."
Among the latest companies to sign on is Coomera-based Queensland Marine Centre (QMC), which represents world-class brands Boston Whaler, SeaRay, Mastercraft and Dorado.
It will have as many as 30 boats in the dedicated trailer boat precinct, showcase several larger boats on-water and offer a range of boat-motor-trailer packages using Ilmor engines from the US.
"We are looking forward to displaying a huge range from all our brands," said QMC Sales Manager Brad Roberts. "All our boats are high-quality, US-made vessels with excellent reputations."
Its Boston Whaler range will span 11ft tenders to 38ft centre consoles, the SeaRays will be from 19-31ft and Mastercraft is a specialist wakeboard boat brand, while three of Dorado's fishing-style boats will be on display.
"We are one of the largest exhibitors each year and we think visitors will be really impressed with the diversity of our boats in 2019," Mr Roberts said.
Another company to sign on recently is TMG, which will present the all-new Lagoon 40.
Designed by VPLP Design and Patrick Le Quement, with interiors by Nauta Design, the yacht boasts a mast step further aft than her predecessors, a self-tacking jib and shorter boom for simplified manoeuvres, and a spacious layout dedicated to a social lifestyle and enhanced performance.
TMG will also display the sensational Dragonfly Sport 25, the pocket rocket trailer-sailer trimaran from Denmark that is available in two versions a touring version and the more powerful and dynamic Sport version.
Weighing 1050kg and with a minimal wetted area, the 25 also has a purpose-built roll-on, roll-off trailer for easy launching and recovery.
Another first will be the Australian debut of eyachts' exceptional Greenline NEO Hardtop, which the dealer promises will be "the standout at the show and on local waterways".
At 10.99m, the vessel is available with either twin outboards for up to 40 knots or 100% Electric Propulsion, which will achieve a top speed of 18 knots and incredible efficiency. It can also entertain up to 12 guests in an open cockpit with chef's galley.
The company will also host demonstrations of an impressive line-up of power boats throughout the show, including the versatile and edgy Axopar 37 Suntop, Axopar 28 Cabin and Axopar 28 T-Top. Completing the line-up will be the Greenline 39 and Sealine C330.
Leading the Clipper Motor Yacht's line-up will be the world premiere of the Hudson Bay 470 sedan, a semi-displacement motor yacht ideal for the Australian lifestyle with its two-cabin, two-bathroom layout, hopper windows and spacious, shaded cockpit for easy indoor-outdoor entertaining.
"We are excited to share our range of new boats at SCIBS this year," said Clipper Motor Yachts Director Brett Thurley, whose company is a distributor for Hudson Bay, Cobalt Boats and new-to-the-stable Bennington Pontoon Boats, designed and built in the US.
"SCIBS is an important show for us and we have doubled our commitment in 2019 based on our belief in the appeal of our brands and new models."
With on-water displays and about 500sq m of hardstand space outside the Main Pavilion, Clipper will have 10 boats on show, including the new Hudson Bay 39 and Australian debut of the 2019 Cobalt 23SC outboard.
A SCIBS veteran, Leigh-Smith Yachts (LSY) plans to go "bigger and better" this year including the debut of the 49 Alaska Sedan 2019 model, along with the British-built Fairline 48 Grand Turismo and the latest 720 Hampton Endurance, Serenity. LSY will also host its annual client appreciation evening on Saturday May 25 at its Sanctuary Cove HQ.
"SCIBS is our home show and one we have been associated with for many years," Ryan Leigh-Smith said. "We have an excellent line-up in store this year - and a few surprises."
Pontoon and deck boats specialists Hurricane Boats Australia will have two high-specced boats direct from the US making their SCIBS debut the Hurricane 2400 Sundeck and the Hurricane 226 Fundeck sports edition with double bimini, upgraded 150hp engine, black rails and white upholstery.
"The 226 Fundeck will really command attention at SCIBS," Hurricane's Paul Attalah said.
"For people looking for a versatile all-rounder, the Hurricane range of deck boats will deliver. They're the world's top-selling deck boat for good reason, with a size for everyone and hundreds of options."
The dedicated trailer boat precinct within the Marine Village will be larger and more diverse than ever, with long-time exhibitors QMC, Stefan Boating World, Haines Group/Suzuki, Australian Marine Centre and Whitewater Marine presenting their 2019 releases and special boat show packages.
Stefan Boating World will return to its prominent, rainbow-hued space with what Director Steve Ackerie calls "a beautiful set-up of incredible boats".
On display will be the latest model 702 Karnic motor yacht, a dynamic 24ft boat that is an ideal fishing or day boat, and the Brazil-made Fibrafort range, which was designed in collaboration with Porsche Consulting and Mr Ackerie asserts is "the best value family boat in Australia".
"We will also be exhibiting lightweight, aluminium-bottom RIBS in 2.5m and 3m, which are the most popular size, and a large range of Yamaha motors," he said.
In the dedicated Suzuki Street, the Haines Group will collaborate with dealers AMC, Surf Coast Marine and Laguna Boating Centre to showcase a range of exciting new models and motors including Haines Signature boats, Seafarer and Suzuki marine outboards.
"We are taking expanded space this year to present a selection of boats from the renowned Seafarer range," said Haines Group's Chris Thompson. "SCIBS is always a brilliant show for us and an important marketing platform."
In the Main Pavilion, exhibitors will wow visitors with the latest nav gear, equipment and accessories including the return of SCIBS stalwarts Seabreeze Industries/Dometic, Stella Systems and a host of electronics brands.
From Fusion, there will also be a huge range of marine entertainment systems, including the launch of the much-anticipated Apollo 670, the world's first touch-screen marine stereo, the Apollo RA770 and the compact Apollo SRX400.
