Bayliss Boatworks construction update: Bayliss 72' Old Reliable
by Bayliss Boatworks 3 Nov 2020 15:12 UTC
Old Reliable (Bayliss 72') is getting to the stage in the build process where things seem to develop at a rapid pace. In late October, she transitioned to our make-ready bay where our Exterior Carpentry work continues within the cockpit.
In the cockpit, build-out of the coaming and coverboard structure is well under way. Work has also begun on the construction of mezzanine floors and walls.
Inside Old Reliable, our Electrical Crew is continuing pump room wire runs, while the Mechanical Crew has just completed chiller line rough-ins. Lower and upper level cabinetry layout, buildout, and fabrication is in full swing as our Interior Carpentry Crew focuses on developing everything from head vanities to galley cabinetry.
This month, glassing of the salon bulkhead and deck will commence. The hawse pipes will also be drilled and sleeved, and the mezzanine will continue to develop, bringing shape to the cockpit!
