Bayliss Boatworks construction update: Old Reliable - Bayliss 72'
by Bayliss Boatworks 10 Jul 2020 14:48 UTC
Old Reliable (Bayliss 72') had another eventful month. With interior walls secured in June, our crew was able to turn their attention to the installation of her carlings. Next week, bow deck planking will begin.
The showers in each of Old Reliable's three heads have been insulated and glassed. Over the last month, our Digital Fabrication & Design crew cut pieces for engine room and pump room drawers on the CNC machine.
Fabrication of the anchor tubes and chamois holders is under way in our metalworks shop. In late June, the gyro floor was installed and primed in preparation for Old Reliable's Seakeeper 18. We also began on the exhaust installation.
Stay tuned to our social media, because later this month she will not only receive her bow deck, but also her gyro, aft fuel tank, and cabin- all in the same day!
