Bayliss Boatworks construction update: Blue View - Bayliss 78'
by John Bayliss 3 May 2020 11:08 UTC
Our crews have been hitting big milestones on Blue View! We are seeing finalizations daily as we inch closer to her delivery later this month.
Padded panels are installed throughout the entire lower level. The beautiful olive ash burl headboards within the VIP and master staterooms provide focal points amongst the surrounding teak cabinetry.
In late April, carpet was laid throughout the lower level spaces and Tempur-Pedic mattresses were placed in each bunk. Gas shocks have been installed on the pullman bunks, allowing them to lower and raise at the touch of a button.
Our metalworks department has installed our proprietary custom television-lifts within the salon and dinette. These lifts have been engineered for stability and are capable of remaining raised while running the boat, even in rough conditions. To finalize the galley cabinetry, we are fabricating and installing customized nesting spaces for each pot, pan, and kitchen appliance.
At the end of April, the sofas were installed in the master stateroom and salon. Our interior carpentry crew will now gas shock each one for easy access to the storage spaces below. The salon carpeting and teak entryway floor are next up for installations.
Within each head, teak vanities, toilet pedestals, and sleek stainless steel fixtures are in place. Tackle room installations are nearly complete. Our crew has created custom nesting spaces to showcase and easily access each rod, reel, and LP.
Blue View will be christened later this month and we can't wait to release her to the world!
