"Since the 2002 stoppage of commercial fishing in Lake Macquarie the fishing has bounced back bigger and better with each year that passes.
Kingfish are now a mainstay species through the warmer months and can be readily targeted throughout the lake on livebait and artificials.
The use of my HDS LIVE 12 has been a huge advantage when searching and targeting these bruisers with lures. Structure and bait location are the two main ingredients when it comes to Kingfish success.
I use my Live unit on a three way split screen, paying close attention to each view as they each have their own role in finding and therefore catching these true Estuarine Thugs.
The clarity and reliability of the HDS Live 12 is evident in these screenshots, clearly showing the active kingfish, rising in the water column as the afternoon went on.
The sound of a surface fizzing bait as the light faded was simply too much for this King to resist..."
