Zeelander Yachts will exhibit its full line at the Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show (October 30 - November 3, 2019 - the exact berths to be announced later), gathering the entire model range in the U.S.

Zeelander Yachts is a leading Dutch shipyard that creates high-end motor yachts with an elegant New York commuter-style profile and excellent performance. Showing off these three yachts all in one place is an exciting prospect for the builder, but will hold special appeal for true yachting enthusiasts. Each model displays a different aspect of the product line, including the unique exterior treatment, with a commuter-style profile and distinctive design cues. Meanwhile the interior has smart use of space and creative attention to detail with finish levels that rival the luxurious appointments of superyachts.

A key hallmark for the Zeelander line is performance. Using proven Volvo Penta IPS technology, each model achieves exhilarating speeds, graceful handling and unmatched cruising performance. The idea of form following function so effectively will surely appeal to the American market, where buyers want to enjoy all aspects of their on-water experiences.

Dynamic flagship's debut

The Z72 continues the Zeelander trend by showing off her curves. The exterior look of the Z72, dubbed "Rolls Royce of the Seas", is developed in collaboration with Cor D. Rover. Every yacht from this builder makes a splash with her exterior lines and the Z72 is no exception, with a striking S-shaped sheerline. The distinctive rounded stern will unfold invitingly to reveal a spacious swim platform, while three pairs of extremely large hullside windows punctuate the curvaceous hull. A raked, curving windshield and distinctively framed side windows are topped by a coachroof with a finely drawn grabrail.

More hulls of the Z72 have been sold right after the delivery of hull #1 in the USA.

For the interior, the company takes a unique approach to yacht design, actively involving owners in the discussion about models under development. This allows Zeelander to get a better sense of how active boaters use their boats. Huge expanses of glass will surround the entire enclosed space of the deckhouse, which will encompass the helm area forward, backing up to a large dining table. At the aft end will be a roomy, functional U-shaped galley. The coachroof overhead will have a broad sunroof to brighten the table.

The helm console consists of an angled, ergonomic pod on centerline with glass-bridge electronic navigation displays, with a wide bench seat. The dining table will be directly abaft the helm bench and keep even more companions close by. The table is be served by a wide settee aft and a two-seat bench to port. The galley is situated at the aft end of the interior to serve the dining table and the cockpit equally well, especially thanks to the retracting aft bulkhead window dividing the galley from the cockpit.

Abaft the stools is open deck space, sheltered by the extended house sides followed by a step down to a fore-and-aft pair of settees with a cocktail table between. From this aft-deck area, the side decks offer easy, safe transit forward, where yet another sun pad awaits.

The curving transom unfolds, creating an enormous swim platform. The platform serves as the teak beach at anchor, and be a main gathering area for water-loving family and friends.

Belowdecks, the Z72 has a three-stateroom layout. The master is forward and shows a key benefit of this curvy, updated take on the classic high-sided commuter: headroom and forward volume. As with all Zeelanders, the décor is sophisticated, yet comfortable to allow for guests and family to enjoy their time aboard with ease.

The Z72 backs up her looks with performance, with three 1,000-horsepower IPS 1350s that allow her to reach a top speed of 40 knots, and benefit from the Volvo Penta integrated joystick system for excellent maneuverability.

"Owners of Zeelander Yachts know what they like," Floris Koopmans, Marketing Coordinator at Zeelander Yachts, says. "When they share their ideas with us, we know that no one has a better sense of how the boats are used. That conversation has helped lead our designs into the future."

Z55 - Fast and furious

The Z55 is more spacious than other yachts in her size range. She has a sophisticated layout and is designed in a clever way. The main deck is a one-level social area comprising a stern cockpit, bar, galley and wheelhouse, all on the same level. There are no steps or borders between them, which is also good for safety reasons. The yacht benefits from the yard's special feature, a 360-degree panoramic vistas from the wheelhouse through generous windows with narrow frames, which is unique for the class.

"Every single square inch has been puzzled and thought out to be used in the most efficient way possible," said Koopmans. "In addition to that, the galley up design allows for a lot more room below decks, whilst gaining an extra entertainment area above deck, the bar area. It must be seen in person to be understood fully."

Z44 - The iconic luxury cruiser

The Z44 also offers unparalleled ease of operation. She has wonderful proportions, with a high bow offering a bulwark against waves in large seas while double chines deflect waves and improve the dry ride. Zeelander gave the Z44 better performance on open seas highlighting how the smart design prevents slamming in waves. An unparalleled smooth ride means that everyone on a Z44 can truly enjoy the pleasures of the onboard experience.

"We believe true yacht building is a form of art: Whilst keeping true to the iconic shape, the Zeelander design continues to evolve," states Floris Koopmans. "Every boat we build is meant to be a legendary icon, an evolution of timeless design is what we envision."
