Much like Blue View, now that Tarheel is outfitted with her main mechanical components - our build crew is off to the races. October began with the installation of her two MTU M96L 12V engines (each with 1920 horsepower), two 20 kilowatt Northern Lights generators, and two Seakeeper 6's.

By mid-month the cabin was installed, propelling our GameBoat construction crew towards installation of the salon bulkhead and livos boxes, as well as glasswork on the interior brow. Engine wiring has now begun, alongside our electrical crew's layout of carlin chases, and vessel-wide wire runs.

This month, we can expect to see priority placed on the installation of both the fuel tank and lazarette deck - which always serve to bring the cockpit area together quickly. Up forward, now that the bow deck is planked, we can begin glassing the surface - bringing us one step closer to fairing, and eventually primer. As construction progresses, our in-house design crew continues to tweak and finalize the details of the flybridge console and particular staterooms.

Tarheel will splash in the summer of 2019!
