The forward fuel tank and machine tunnel sole are both installed on Blue View! We are continuing work on the salon deck, which will be installed with her two engines, generators, and gyro in September.
Shaft log holes are cut, while installation of the shaft logs are soon to follow. Pump room buildout continues, as the walls are up, and integral tanks and storage areas are being brought to final finished conditions. We've begun installing mechanical systems in the machine tunnel, including the water heater and air tank.
Towards summers' end, Blue View will be fitted with two MTU 16V engines, each with 2600 horsepower. Her generators are each 38 kw, and her stabilization will come in the form of a Seakeeper 26. To facilitate these upcoming mechanical installations, our crew is glassing, fairing, and painting the engine room and gyro surround areas. This week, we start with glassing.
