Llangorse Sailing Club was founded in 1953 and ever since has fostered dinghy sailing and windsurfing in a beautiful part of the country sanwiched between the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains.

The Club and lake in particular are steeped in history. Since its formation the Club has encouraged Junior sailing, and many have gone on to race with considerable success, and there is a long calendar of racing and other activities provided for all members throughout a season that runs from March to November. Changing rooms are available to members every day throughout the season, boats can be left on site with windsurfers having access to their own boatshed / dry storage, and the Clubhouse is open on Club days (usually Sundays and Bank Holidays when there is racing, plus other days as shown in the Club Programme for the year).

The Club is a registered RYA Training Centre and there's a comprehensive training programme thoughout the year on a variety of sailing / marine activities and there's a thriving community of Junior sailing which runs throughout the year. There is a large fleet of Flying Fifteens, as well as Tasars, Fireballs, Assymetrical classes, Lasers, Mirrors, windsurfers, Toppers and Optimists. Membership gives you access to all of the Club facilities and the lake for very little cost other than your membership fee. More information is available through other pages on this site.
