Report Overview
Fisheries Economics of the United States provides an accessible summary of the economic performance of U.S. commercial fisheries, recreational fisheries, and other marine-related industries. Of key importance to stakeholders, the report describes how U.S. marine fisheries affect the economy in terms of commercial and recreational economic impacts.
Covering a 10-year period, the report provides statistics on:
- Commercial Fisheries and the Seafood Industry — Landings, revenue, and trends
- Recreational Fisheries — Fishing effort, participation rates, and expenditure information
- Marine-Related Industries — Employer and non-employer establishment, payroll, and annual receipt information
