Marine Auctions: Online auction sparks wide-ranging interest

'Marine Auctions - register online'    Marine Auctions
Bidding has commenced today and will run til 3pm on Thursday 28 February for Marine Auctions next online auction, featuring some choice boats from all over Australia.

Among those up for auction are a luxury 52ft Dufour 2009 model, which according to director, Adrian Seiffert is causing a lot of interest. 'It’s very well looked after, not wanting anything, immaculately presented,' he said. 'This model has won many accolades and this vessel comes complete with thousands of dollars of upgrades. It’s really over-specced.'

Also available is a neat Sealine Statesman 45 being auctioned on behalf of a finance company, and several new Nobles with no reserve, two new Oceancrafts built to survey, Caribbean 7.5m on a trailer with engine.

Seiffert is the exclusive agent in Australia for the Noble brand of boats and he said demand is still constant. 'We have had such excellent response to these sturdy fishing boats that we can’t keep up. We sell four or five a week.'
They come complete with Seatrail trailer, 5m, 5.8m and 6.2m and range in price from $15,000 to $35,000 for the largest size.

'The Noble Boat delivers a superior soft ride, has excellent stability at rest and cuts through waves like no other aluminium boat,' explained Seiffert. 'You stay dry while underway and it is far easier to fish out of. They are safe, solid, tough and comfortable. They don’t broach and are better looking boats with double reverse chines, 38 degree variable dead rise in the bow and a 24 degree dead rise in the stern.'

The use of webcams facilitates the process and the website, marineauctions.com.au contains thorough descriptions, images and details on all boats on offer. Buyers all over Australia, and the world, can see the boats, watch the auction as it happens and bid online.

Pre-loved (used) boats are enjoying buoyant sales, according to Seiffert, who says ‘there’s one to suit everybody'.

'People entering boating for the first time, those getting back in to it after many years, even long-time boaties are looking around for the best buys and finding pre-loved is the way to go.

'That’s how they buy their cars, their homes, their clothing, so it makes sense that they are confident to buy second-hand boats from a reputable, reliable source.'

Under the Marine Auctions banner is Marine Sales, which has a selection of coverable marina berths for sale on the Gold Coast, at Manly Harbour, Rivergate Marina, Dockside Marina and Scarborough Marina.

On 2 April, Marine Auctions will be conducting what they believe will be the biggest multi-vendor Online Auction of Marina Berths ever to be held in Australia.

Marine Auctions is now accepting entries for its Rivergate Marina auction which will be held on Saturday 16 March.
For thecurrent online auction, enquiry rate is very good already, Seiffert reported. For all vessels, details are available online and full specifications and photos will be sent upon request.
